Ferdinand

Little Ferdinand (all grey) has really bonded with his foster sister Papatya (Daisy). When we first met Papatya, she was terrified of everything, now she enjoys nap-time pets and cuddling with Ferdi, who once was a tiny 8 week old kitten trying to disappear into the back of the carrier. Now, a more vocal Ferdi likes to bring his big sister toy birdies in return for some loving licks on the head. It is so sweet how they have become such good friends! They would love to be adopted together.

Cody

Cody's special needs is that he is deaf. He is a happy little guy, willing to please and loves life. He needs an owner committed to working with him and teaching him the hand signals he needs to know. He would do well with another dog buddy who can "show him the ropes". Currently one of AFEW's Jr members, Jason is working with Cody. Jason is determined to teach Cody as many hand signals as he can to give him a good start in his new home.

Dakota

Dakota is a 2 1/2 year old Mix (collie, leonberger, chow). She is a wonderful, playful dog. She loves to play fetch and tug of war. She is very friendly and gets along well with people and children. She also loves to curl up and cuddle with you. She loves attention, is very affectionate, and gives lots of kisses. She is suited for a home with no other animals, but gets along with other dogs outside of the home, i.e. the dog park. Whom ever adopts Dakota will have the benefit of one free year of traning from Bark Busters. She is very healthy, and is current on all vaccinations. She also has been spayed and is microchipped.

Dakota is crate trained and comes with her crate and toys. Vet records are available.

Andre & Annie

Annie & Andre are a lovable brother/sister pair that were found as strays when they were only a few days old. They have been hand-raised and bottle-fed making them extraordinarily affectionate and people oriented. They are both up to date on their shots and have been spayed/neutered. They have spent their entire lives together, are the best of friends, and would love to be adopted together if you can find room in your heart for the two of them. However, they are also up for a adoption separately and if it means the difference to finding their forever home they are able to be separated. Please see their individual listings for more information on this wonderful pair.

Andre is a handsome long-haired fellow and Annie who is a sweet little girl who were found mewing and crawling around in his owners driveway when he was only a couple of days old. Their eyes were still closed and their only companion was each other. Both have been hand-raised and bottle fed since that day and is one of the most affectionate kitties you will ever meet. They will greet you at your door to welcome you home and put their little paws up on your leg for a pet. Andre just LOVES to have his ears scratched! You’ve never heard a purrr motor go quite like his when you partake in his favorite activity. He also loves using his scratching post, and lying in wait to pounce on his ‘tiger tail’ toy like the mighty hunter he (thinks) he is. When it’s time to relax he’s right up on your lap to watch tv with you or cuddle while you read a book. He’s fully litter-trained, does not scratch furniture and just adores your attention. Can you welcome this regal gentleman into your heart?

Annie has a very gentle disposition and is also highly affectionate. She will watch for you in the window and greet you at your door as you come home. She loves to be petted or to just sit on your lap while you watch tv. She is calm enough to allow you to clip her nails at-home, she never scratches furniture, and this neat little girl is completely litter-box trained. At 3 years old, there’s no surprises here and still plenty of play energy to chase laser lights (her favorite) or any of her many other toys. She’s just a wonderful dainty girl looking for her forever home.
